Leadership Team

With a background in information technology and a history of growing early stage SaaS companies, DJ is focused on evolving Attainia’s software solutions and enabling healthcare systems to make informed capital asset decisions. DJ has served as an active board member for Attainia since April of 2017. Prior to his role at Attainia, he was a CEO at Ascentis and served on various boards for SaaS-based technology businesses. During his tenure at Ascentis, the company experienced significant growth and impacted the human capital industry through product differentiation, innovative approaches to customer acquisition, and building high-touch relationships with customers. In addition to Ascentis, DJ has vast technology experiences with Enwisen (a startup organization that experience significant growth and an eventual exit), and with Oracle, Cisco, Synoptics and Seagate Technology.

DJ holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and information technology from Boise State.

 

Jerry Kizziar brings more than 20 years of healthcare SaaS research and development experience, with a focus on bringing disruptive, innovative, and first-to-market solutions from vision to an enterprise scale. Since developing the first fully functional web-based practice management system and patient portal in 1999, Kizziar has exclusively focused on healthcare-related technologies. In his most recent leadership roles, Kizziar has focused on healthcare analytics, assistive technologies, and clinical guidance. He also led the creation of patented products that solve complex problems across a wide array of specialties in healthcare targeted towards payers, health systems and patients.

Cricket Averett has more than 15 years experience leading accounting teams in growth-oriented technology organizations. Prior to Attainia, Cricket led accounting functions at both Insight and Tech Data and helped companies such as IBM by developing international multi-currency accounting systems used in Europe. She has built accounting teams and grown them into high-performing cross-functional teams handling activity from $2MM to $4B annually. She strives to improve financial results and enjoys improving operational processes to maximize efficiency and bring value-add to the business.

Cricket is a graduate of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State.

Mike is a healthcare SaaS executive with 10 years in the vertical and a total of 15 years of sales experience. He specializes in bookings and revenue growth through skill development, business process optimization, and empowering sales talent. Prior to his role at Attainia, Mike served as the Director of Sales for the Office division of NextGen Healthcare, a cloud-based electronic health record and practice management platform. Under Mike’s leadership the division achieved year-over-year growth in bookings and revenue while successfully integrating Revenue Cycle Management to its portfolio of products and services.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in both digital communication and media studies from Sacred Heart University.

Naomi Cash ensures that Attainia listens to and integrates the voice of the customer in the product roadmap and deliverables. As a domain expert who has been intimately involved in many critical customer-focused aspects of the business including implementation, training and utilization, Naomi has established a high level of confidence with the Attainia user community. Prior to Attainia, Naomi had more than 15 years experience managing web-based offerings including development, content and sales/support for newspapers and hospital-based capital planning and procurement functions. She has collaborated with construction projects and department managers to develop standards as well as equipment requirements needed for a wide variety of hospital projects and acquisitions.

She is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and received her degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.

Jo Chiti brings more than 15 years of human resource experience across multiple industries, most notably global retail and technology companies. Jo’s background includes employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, talent acquisition, and talent planning. Jo started her career on the operations side, leading retail teams as large as 150 employees. She quickly realized her passion was in creating environments in which employees can maximize their potential while having fun and being wildly productive. Her most recent roles have been leading the HR function for smaller organizations with a focus on instilling foundational and progressive practices that position an organization to grow and scale.

Jo has an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Texas and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute.

Alex Maskovyak and his team are busy crafting the next generation of Attainia’s platform and suite of healthcare capital planning applications. Alex has more than 13 years of experience working as a software engineer and technology leader. Prior to his work at Attainia, Alex worked across multiple startups where he applied a hands-on approach to building teams, tools, and technology platforms. Alex’s previous work in the healthcare space involved scaling a platform that tracked the healthcare records of more than 33 million unique patients; this system is now part of the technology powering IBM Watson.

Alex earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a focus on distributed systems and parallel processing. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

David Newton has been with the company since October of 2017. David has spent the entirety of his career scaling growth-stage SaaS organizations and comes from a background in big data. Prior to joining Attainia, David was Vice President of Operations at Market Track and helped lead the organization to become the market leader in data services for eCommerce. David’s strategy for optimizing Attainia’s client experience leverages both relationship development and operational excellence.

David is currently pursuing his MBA at W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Ian Oberholser is responsible for all infrastructure aspects for Attainia and Attainia clients – including Attainia’s production environments, security and internal infrastructure. With more than 17 years of experience in the field of IT and infrastructure, Ian has spent his career covering areas from help desk support to IT manager to management of production environments for various businesses – through cloud providers, colo or full-managed datacenters. Prior to joining Attainia he helped Ascentis build its data center and organize internal IT efficiency that supported more than over 100% company growth.

Ian holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Redlands

Shannon Field Schweser has more than 10 years working in healthcare software and specializes in project management, process improvement and implementation of complex software in highly competitive territories. Prior to joining Attainia, Shannon worked with neurosurgical medical devices by serving as a product specialist and delivering on-site training and education for multimillion-dollar operating suites. Shannon enjoys working on complex cross departmental projects and improving the client experience. She has been recognized by leadership, colleagues and customers for excellence in communication, facilitation, customer service and account management.

Shannon holds a Bachelor’s of Science in kinesiology from Texas Christian University.

Dianna Sovine brings more than 15 years of SaaS marketing and deep B2B marketing/sales platform operational experience to her role as VP, Marketing and Revenue Enablement. She specializes in driving business growth through the utilization of talent, processes and technologies in SaaS marketing and sales organizations.

Prior to her role at Attainia, she served as head of marketing for Ascentis, a SaaS company that experienced significant growth during her tenure. In the highly competitive HCM software space, she introduced innovative approaches to branding, demand generation, industry education, marketing and sales enablement. In addition, Dianna has built, implemented and configured marketing and sales operational infrastructures for many B2B organizations through her consultancy services.

Dianna holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in marketing and business administration.

Rick has been managing private equity investments and partnerships for nearly 20 years. Rick is a Managing Partner at Graue Mill Partners (GMP), a private equity firm focused on assisting entrepreneurs and owner-operators plan and fund investments in attractive small and mid-size businesses. Prior to joining Graue Mill Partners in 2003, he was most focused on creating long term capital appreciation through participatory ownership with management. This overall theme of creating business environments that would motivate entrepreneurial executives, partners, and staff, laid the foundation for Rick’s work at GMP.

Beginning in 1980, Rick spent 20 years as a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and 18 years as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade. At the CBOE, Rick was a long-standing member of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and numerous standing committees. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Cincinnati Stock Exchange. He continues to serve as a public member of the Business Conduct Committee of the CBOE.

Rick currently serves on the Board of Directors of Attainia Inc., a search fund holding in the portfolio of GMP. He recently served on the Board of Directors of Out of Home Holdings Corporation, a GMP search fund portfolio company. OOHH was one of GMP’s portfolio Search Fund investments, which GMP very successfully exited. He is also on the Board of Directors of Hinsdale Bank Trust, a $2 billion community bank and a subsidiary of the $21 billion financial services holding company Wintrust Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:WTFC), and on the Board of Directors Tricom Funding, Inc., a premier provider of payroll, administrative and funding services.

Rick is a past Chairman of the Board and CEO of the USO of Illinois, and continues to serve on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Ride 2 Recovery, a military focused non-for-proft, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of numerous other philanthropic organizations.

Rick received a BA with honors from the University of Southern California. He also attended the Doctoral Studies program at the University of Delaware.

Rich Kelley is a Partner at Search Fund Partners, which he co-founded in 2004. He currently serves on the boards of Attainia, Discovia, Pet Heaven, DCI, Lund Van Dyke, Verengo, Avadyne, RIA in a Box, ISC, and Medical Positioning, Inc.

Rich Kelley has been involved in numerous small businesses and start-up companies as an operator, owner, and investor. His varied experience includes: CFO of Score Learning Centers, CEO of San Jose Giants, General Partner of the Stanford Terrace Inn, developer of houses and subdivisions, owner of office buildings and hotels, investor in successful tech start-ups (Coinstar, PLX Technology, Corcept Therapeutics). He has also invested in many limited partnerships, including venture funds, and has been involved as a search fund investor since 1994.

Rich has an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Stanford. Rich and his wife Gina have two children, Riley and Sam. He has served as an elected school board trustee and is active with the Positive Coaching Alliance and Sustainable Conservation as an advisor.

Tushar is the Managing Partner at Kinderhook Partners, an investment fund making long-term investments in public and private companies. Prior to co-founding Kinderhook Partners in 2003, Tushar was a Principal at Geocapital Partners, a venture capital firm. Before Geocapital, Tushar was a strategy consultant with the Monitor Group, where he led a range of telecommunications and Internet related projects in New York, London and Tel Aviv. Tushar was also a WorldTeach volunteer in Ecuador.

Tushar is a CFA charterholder and received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College.

Brad is a senior member of McKinsey’s Business Technology Practice in North America and is a leader in McKinsey’s Big Data and Digital practices. He also leads McKinsey’s Center for Business Technology, the Firm’s research arm on emerging technology trends.

He works with corporations to restructure their operations, IT organizations, and systems plans; implement best-in-class infrastructure improvements; and devise competitive IT strategies. He has particular expertise in the insurance sector and in financial services, where he serves a number of major financial institutions on an ongoing  basis
